Public Enemies

Fox News has successfully accomplished something no other news organization could (or wanted to): They made the Obama administration's enemies list. Yes yes folks, the Fox News channel, or "Fixed" News as Keith Olberman likes to say is public enemy #1 and the word has gone out to all the news networks, both cable and local, that Fox News is now considered an arm of the RNC, and therefore shouldn't be seen as a news outlet because they constantly distort the facts, lie about the administration, smear the president, and treat administration officials unfairly.

You know, this would be funny as hell if it weren't so unconstitutional and dangerous. Fox News is being attacked because they do their job. Are there hosts on that channel who dislike president Obama? Sure, but do they dislike him or his policies? One could argue that Sean Hannity and Glen Beck would support Barack Obama if he were a conservative, so you can throw the idea of personal hatred out the window. But this latest ploy by the administration to rally their hapless and pathetic followers is yet another example of the Obama camp's thin skinned politically machine. And what of that machine? What happened to the politically savvy, in touch, well connected organization that used the internet like it's third arm? What happened to this next-gen, advanced well oiled machine that took down the greatest political machine in American politics, I speak of the Clinton machine of course.

They handled the Clinton's' like Florida handled Charleston St. And yet they have trouble with Sean Hannity and Glen Beck? Hardly two men with any influence, I mean as far as the middle of the country is concerned, beyond their loyalist conservative listeners, these guys have nil in terms influence on the country. And yet, we're suppose to believe that these two men are almighty harbingers of the political power of persuasion? Something doesn't sit right with me.

I believe strongly in the 1st amendment and the freedom of the press. Both in this case are under siege and we need to call the administration on this Chavez like act. You see Hugo Chavez would often ridicule and embarrass a media outlet that openly criticized his agenda and asked him tough questions during his weekly press conferences....(sound familiar?)

This obsession with Fox News ought not be swept under the rug or dismissed as some petty quarrel between the administration and a news network. This is serious because there are people in this administration who take these fair criticisms as personal slights and they'll resort to radical means to shut them up.

But I'm also curious as to why the administration doesn't seem to have a beef with MSNBC or NBC, or even CBS (rhetorical of course) After all they push an agenda, distort facts, smeared a president, and in some cases they neglect facts altogether, let alone twist them. But there is a distinct difference between MSNBC and Fox News, set aside the brutal reality of Fox News dominating MSNBC and CNN in every category every night like it's first and second nature to them. On MSNBC one host gets tingly feelings and a thrill up his leg when the president speaks, one host on Fox has the "Stop Obamacare Express"

On MSNBC one host, well all of them actually,  bash Republicans, accuse them of wanting the president to quote "get shot" or, accuse them of being racist. The hosts on MSNBC call Americans who disagree with the president, "Teabaggers" which is a term used to describe a homosexual sex act.

I guess you could say Fox has some skeptics but so does MSNBC. For example, they have something on MSNBC called the "Sarah Palin Chronicles" where they basically report on everything Sarah Palin, from her resignation as governor of Alaska to what kind of food she ate. Not only that but MSNBC led the way when the media firing squad took aim at Palin during the campaign. David Schuster of MSNBC failed television show host fame once referred to Palin as an idiot. So, can Sarah Palin then accused MSNBC and David Schuster of stalking because they talk about her all the time and devote a segment to her? Fox doesn't have a segment called "The Barack Files" do they?

See, MSNBC is promoting an agenda, the president's agenda. As long as they continue to attack Republicans, tea party protesters, Sarah Palin or whomever so dares to criticize the massive spending, health care overhaul, or any other regressive left wing policy of Barack Obama, they're going to be targeted, marginalized, and hung out to dry. Get me?

So this really looks like a Hugo Chavez move. And Obama wants to make sure he looks above it all, even though he's ordering the hit. So the attacks on Fox News will go on, it's the highest rated news channel in the country right now and you know that comes with the territory. I just don't know why they seem so surprised. That's my only criticism of Fox, the fact that they seem so caught off guard knowing the type of people they have on their (all two of them) and the fact that they actually report news and not talking points or manufactured events from the White House communications department.

But is Fox News the last line of 1st amendment defense? Are they the example, or the first in many victims? What about Town Hall, News Busters, National Review, Chimpy's Republican Revolution, the PUMA blog site, Republican leaning and conservative Facebook groups, people who subscribe to conservative magazines, the entire southern region of the United States, the RNC, 45% of the American people, Hillsdale College, Texas A&M, Rockford College, conservatives in Hollywood like Dennis Miller, talk radio, 90% of country clubs in America, the church, the health insurance industry, American business, the Chamber of Commerce, Red State, and me. Everyone I named at one point criticized Barack Obama's policies. So are they going to marginalize them and attack them too? And when does it stop? How far does this game go?

When some Democrats step out of line, will they be attacked? Are they going to shut us all down for exercising our constitutional and god given right? Freedom of press my conservative hooligans, is a precious right, though the press was hated by our founding fathers they understood the importance of a press bound not by the chains nor strangled by the coils of government. This administration doesn't seem to get the relationship between the press and the state. You're not supposed to use media outlets as your propaganda toilet Mr. Obama.

But this time I think he and his Mao loving advisers want to take a huge brown cloud on the constitution. They have been so far, what would make them stop now?

Time To Educate Ms. Gurofalo

Well, you know I used to be a leftist, and I used to think like them of course. But since my re-awaking you could say, I’ve often challenged and utterly destroyed every single argument and charge the left throws at my new found conservative brothers and sisters. You see, more than a conservative can do to win an argument against a committed leftist, a former lefty can do ten fold. So today I’m going to educate, and then desecrate yet another drone: Ms. Janeane Gurofalo is the latest talking head for George Soros caught with her foot in her mouth and lacking the coherent understanding of our history. So, allow me to teach the class:

According to Ms. Gurofalo, you tax day tea protesters are nothing but a bunch of far right racist redneck cavemen. You know nothing about the constitution, taxation without representation, or the Boston Tea Party and it’s protest against British Imperialism. Oh, and you all hate children because you won’t give them health care.

Oh Ms. Gurofalo with your failed radio show on the failed Air America network, your failed career as an actress, and your failed career as a “smart” comedian. You have no clue outside the San Francisco penthouse. It’s a shame really, because I feel so sorry for the little failure because she just can’t make things work for the life of her. Now she’s trying to be an intellectual on social and political issues but, no one takes her serious, not even her own left wing support group. So I’m going to say this about the tea parties because Ms. Gurofalo doesn’t understand the broader concept of these protests.

You see Janeane, these people who you called “racists” weren’t just protesting higher taxes, they were protesting spending, big government, and the fiscal homicide committed by both the Bush administration and the Obama administration. But I suppose you didn’t pick up on that well, with all the distorted information crammed in your brain, so much so it blocks sound from entering the ear. Despite what the media says and you’ve been brainwashed with Ms. Gurofalo, those 95% of all Americans will see a tax hike. You see, there’s something out there called Cap and Trade and the Obama is a huge fan. Cap and Trade is a system that will tax carbon usage. So as they implement this system modeled after the one in Europe, it will raise the tax on electricity. Now, I don’t know about you, but I suppose 95% of Americans use electricity; unless their all tree hugging granola munchers from Berkeley, which I doubt.

So let’s recap shall we? Cap and Trade will increase the tax on electricity, which will raise the price because it will target coal and oil companies. And well, where do you think our energy comes from? Oil doesn’t just fuel our cars Ms. Gurofalo, it also heats our homes, and lights our lamps. You can’t read Mein Kampf without evil oil lighting up that lamp in your one bedroom penthouse in San Francisco.

Moving on……

As for this slight about not knowing the history of America or what the Boston Tea Party was all about. Again, the failure at absolutely everything gets it wrong. Gosh I feel so bad because she literally fails at everything she does, even her knowledge of history. The Boston Tea Party was a protest concerning taxation without representation yes, but it went much further beyond the unreasonable taxation by the British Empire on our tea and other products. The Boston Tea Party was a direct protest of the British Government. Let me repeat that, the Boston Tea Party was a direct protest of the BRITISH GOVERNMENT. Now that was taken directly from Wikipedia’s definition of the Boston Tea Party. I use Wikipedia often as my source for information and I can tell you it’s accurate 100% of the time.

Now they did protest the Tea Act which taxes citizens without a representative in the government. But, if you want to go that route we can because the Congress is trying to pass a law that would give the District of Columbia a congressman or woman. That’s unconstitutional as the great document states: Representation must come from the states. Again, I’ll repeat that for those who deny history and facts altogether: The constitution says: Representation must come from the states. Last time I checked the District of Columbia isn’t a state, it’s our nation’s capital. But who am I to cite the facts as they are and not how I wish for them to appear?

You know leftists believe in this idea that the constitution no longer applies to our world because things are far too different from 200 years ago. Well I argue that our constitution prevents things from getting out of hand and also protects citizens and states against any future infringement on their liberty and any threat to erode federalism. Now they’re calling Rick Perry a wacko for this so called secession talk. But what Rick Perry talked about was the importance of protecting states’ rights. Our constitution stresses the importance of federalism but I guess leftists don’t believe in federalism and they don’t. Leftists believe that a centralized power has the right to impose any mandate or law upon states that are apart of that centralized body. For instance leftists view government as the cell body, which controls individual cells. Well federalism begs to differ and so do I.

And you’ll notice I’m calling them “leftists” I refuse to refer to such anti-American and unconstitutional people as liberals because the word liberal means the total opposite of this madness. To be a liberal is to and I quote from Wikipedia: Classic liberalism is a doctrine stressing individual freedom, free markets, and limited government. This includes the importance of human rationality, individual property rights, natural rights, the protection of civil liberties, individual freedom from restraint, equality under the law, constitutional limitation of government, free markets, and a gold standard to place fiscal constraints on government. If you still don’t believe me after all this information accuracy and all, then look it up yourself on Wikipedia.

John Locke, Ludwig Von Mises, they all believed in this idea of liberalism. Our founding fathers modeled our constitution and their own world view on the writings of Adam Smith and Voltaire, and others who believed in the divine rights of man. You cannot tell me this represents the group we have today, marching in lockstep to some of the most brutal and irrationally dangerous teachings and beliefs of some of the most misguided men who walked the earth. Karl Marx wasn’t a believer in liberty, some of the most tyrannical dictatorships were lead by modern progressives. Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Joseph Stalin, the Marxist regime of Nicaragua, the Marxist regime of Afghanistan, and lest we forget that dark empire which sought the spread of communism and Marxism across the western hemisphere, I speak of the Soviet Union.

So I go back to my overall point, and these words from Ronald Reagan only confirm my argument: “It’s not that our liberal friends are ignorant, it’s that they know too much that isn’t so” We own the intellectual and historical argument guys, not them. They rely on something that is not of this world because to comprehend their talking points and by doing so agree, you have to have just gotten here from a distant planet somewhere within the cosmos. Black, white, Hispanic, and whomever felt so passionate as to protest against this misbegotten government activism, it wasn’t about the color of our skin but the color of the flag we wave proud and the document we abide by. So to Ms. Gurofalo and others who want to disregard this example of American spirit and patriotism, go right ahead. We’ll protest and you’ll whine about our protest, while claiming we whine in the form of protest.

Now our left wing friends love the word democracy. They say America is a democracy that we must ensure its preservation. Well, again they have history backwards. Our founding fathers, for example one of them James Madison sought to never create a pure democracy but instead a republic. Madison said this about pure democracy and I quote: “common passion or interest will, in almost every case, be felt by a majority of the whole…and there is nothing to check the inducements to sacrifice the weaker party” The founding fathers understood that a constitutional republic ensures the individual rights of man far more than a democracy would because democracies can be corrupt, destructive, and utterly destroyed by those who seek to curtail it’s innocent intentions at its inception. You still with me?

So leftists are wrong when they say America is a democracy. We’re a constitutional republic, look it up folks. I could go into the link between peace throughout the world an classic liberalism because Adam Smith believed that when unleashed and unshackled the individual will prevent the outbreak of war because the free market will defuse any idea of protectionism and socialism. He believed the entrepreneurial spirit should be encouraged, not condemned or punished. Sound familiar? Who so punishes and condemns success than a modern leftist in today’s society?

Now I know amongst like minds such as yourselves I’m stating the obvious, but I felt it was important to draw the parallel between the distorted and outright dishonest lie of the left, and the noble, divine, and honest arguement of those who believed in the virtue of man and his right to liberty. I’m starting a campaign to take back the word “liberal” and to end the word conservative. You see I believe that a conservative is a liberal. Why do we call ourselves conservatives if we believe in classic liberalism? We’re liberals, so let’s take the word back from those who are not.

Shredding the Constitution, One Article at a Time

What do you get when you take the foundation of a country and you systematically destroy it through certain measures and politically motivated actions? Well, the obvious outcome would be the downfall of that nation, and its democracy. But aside from that you run the risk of further disenfranchisement of the people. Well that's exactly what's taking place from Washington and now I simply keep track of the number of violations this Congress and new president have committed since taking office in January.

The latest violation of the constitution is the measure to grant the District of Columbia voting rights in the House of Representatives. Now, before you hail the advancement of democracy I must inform you of this breach. The constitution clearly states, again, the constitution clearly states that the Congress be made up of "several states", or the now 50 actual states(There weren't fifty states when the constitution was written of course) and that the District of Columbia be excluded from voting rights because it is not a state, its the nation's capital. Now, before we reject this latest violation we must go back and fix another. The people of Washington DC shouldn't have to pay taxes. Why? Because DC is not a state, regardless of its residents.

One might say this latest act of violation is one more step toward a more perfect union (I hate when people use that to justify their anti-American, unconstitutional actions) But this is something for more political and sinister. This move is a ploy by the Democrats to increase power. Tell me something, is it a coincidence that the DC area is 75% democratic? or am I just floating into the realm of conspiracy theorist again? I'd say neither. I would say that the Democrats want this one party rule come hell or high taxes. But for you GOP members who rail against this, oh I've got some news for ya. You know Orin Hatch much obliged this move because Utah will get an extra Republican vote in return. You know, I guess American democracy is up for sale. No it's up for grabs because no one has a steady hand on the tiller, but instead a they've got their foot on the gas toward a broken republic. And you know what happens when a republic cracks and crumbles don't you? You get increased disenfranchisement, dissent, and you can kiss peaceful protest goodbye because you'll have one violent revolution on your hands. And the end result? Cuba baby, Cuba. Now, where is our Che?

I suggest the Democrats and the few Republicans who wear short leashes and perform tricks for those same Democrats to straighten up for simply put get your butts tossed out like weekly trash pick up. We're not going to sit around and watch you pick our pockets, raise our taxes, release radical Muslim terrorists in our communities, violate our constitution, and expect to get away with it. By George, which ever George that may be, preferably the first and only George in my opinion unless it's also George C. Scott, we will stage the second revolution and this time, we will use ideas and integrity instead of guns and bombs. We are a peaceful people who wish to be left alone with our respect and dignity. But when our elected officials stone wall us with every legislation they can think of, we won;t take it much longer. But until then the saying goes: "When the parents are away, the children will play" Well, I have some news for ya, mom and dad are home, and we ain't happy. Now, clean up this mess or we're gonna put baby in the darn corner.

When Having Principles Make You An Obstructionist Party

When the GOP decided to grow a set of cannons and unite as a party of fiscal discipline (What took you so long?) They were unfairly branded a party of "no" or the "obstructionist bunch". There's this false idea that principles don't matter during an economic "crisis" such as this one. The media would have you believe that pragmatism and political maneuvering are just what the doctor ordered because with a "crisis" like this one, partisanship needs to be on the back burner. Except the Democrats are playing partisan politics. Let me give you the first example: This deal with the devil called the stimulus package, or as I like to call it the "slimeulus" package, president Great One allowed the fringe hugging lefties in the Congress to write the bill. At which they completely shut out the GOP members and instead crammed this thing with pork dream after pork dream. Now, where was the media then? Was the media calling this move partisan? or, disruptive? no, they weren't. Second example was the idiotic and anti-democratic, not to mention unconstitutional move to control the Census via Rahm Emanuel. Now, Judd Greg mentioned this when he withdrew his name from the Commerce Secretary job. I suppose the media didn't pick up on the Obama administration's recent power grabs and unconstitutional activity.

But alas the Democrats are showing their true colors. "They are who we thought they were" to quote Dennis Green. The Democrats are playing partisan politics and force feeding the American people their twisted principles and vision, yet when the GOP try to reconnect with their party's principles it's seen as obstructionist. So when the Democrats used to annoy George Bush with those withdraw dates they would slip into Iraq War funding bills, that was seen as patriotic and just, when they constantly rejected George Bush and would openly criticize him, that was righteous and noble. I don't get the logic but I understand the motives. You see the media and the Democrats won't stand for any dissent, they will not allow it. When the president and the Democrats talk about "post-partisan" or laying down your party affiliation they really mean one party rule. They want Republicans to abandon their principles and join up with them. They want the GOP dissolved for good. No I'm not a conspiracy theorist, I'm an observer and I see things coming that the average American might not. I can decode this language speaking of bipartisanship and all that good "We are the world" stuff. The Democrats want to quell opposition, plain and simple. The oldest fact known to man is that liberals hate dissent and they can't stand opposition. They believe their principles are so right, why who would dare disagree with them?

Why do you think Obama went after Rush Limbaugh? Why do you think Bill Press is leading this charge to reinstate the unconstitutional doctrine I mean uh, the fairness doctrine? They want to silence opposition so their agenda be made permanent. What do you think Obama means when he says "remake America", he wants to move American into the 21st century? What are we living in the dark ages, or the colonial times? The United States is the most technologically developed country on earth. Hello, superpowers aren't centuries behind every other nation, that's apart of what makes them superpowers, you dunce. Excuse me, I've been listening to too much Mark Levin and Dr. Savage, I apologize. But you see what I mean don't you? He's trying to justify his agenda by creating this view that isn't real. See his mindset is that capitalism is of the 20th century, offshore drilling, 20th century, free markets, 20th century, nationalism, 20th century, we ought to be a more multicultural nation where we embrace cultures outside of our own and slowly break down the American culture. Think I'm a conspiracy theorist yet? You see Obama believes in a more centralized government where the people's needs are met in a more collectivist society. That's his 21st century vision for America. When he says remake America he wants to transform all the old value systems and traditional foundations such as: the Constitution, capitalism, free markets, individual rights, states rights, sovereignty, American culture.

It was Obama who said the constitution was fundamentally unfair and unjust toward poor people, and that Judges should control the distribution of wealth in this country. So, when you talk about principles being obstructionist then I proudly wear the badge. I'm a Libertarian and I will obstruct every heat and helping of big government socialism and multicultural Marxist theory this man tries to poetically impose (That sounded like a mother goose rhyme). So I say to David Brooks, who makes his living apologizing to liberals for conservatism's very existence, I say principles matter when they come from our constitution; you don't abandon that for anything sir. And no this is not a unique set of circumstances because if this would have happened during the time of our founding fathers, they wouldn't abandon the very document they sacrificed blood and treasure to create, but we are and it's wrong. To my conservative friends out there and to the GOP I say be obstructionist, and pay no mind to soft headed RINOS who pander to people who don't even like them. Believe in your principles and be proud of who you are. Heck, the left gets the green light to be proud of their principles of Marxism and communism, why not be proud of your small government individual rights, constitution principles?

If you say principles don't matter then you're saying the constitution doesn't matter. You're saying Thomas Jefferson, my hero George Washington don't matter. You're saying, when things get tough we ought not look to our foundations and our core for the way, but to government and politicians who you are trying to convince me that they possess a moral and principled conviction, somewhere in all that pragmatist mud. No no, David Brooks, Mark Shields and the others in the media, pragmatism is not a noble virtue or a foundation; it's the easy way out. Principles ensure that a nation will not fall into utter chaos both economically, Militarily, socially, and culturally. So stand for your principles and wear them like a badge of honor; I know I do. This Libertarian loves his freedoms, his individual independence, and his self reliant way of life. So embrace your own; or the terrorists win. And they aren't in Pakistan, they're in DC.

Perhaps the media and the Democrats should read these quotes from people who understood the meaning of America and our constitution:

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." -George Washington

"That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves." -Thomas Jefferson

"The truth is that all men having power ought to be mistrusted." -James Madison

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." -James Madison

"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." -John Quincy Adams

"A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have."
-Gerald Ford

"We are a nation that has a government—not the other way around. And that makes us special among the nations of the earth."
-Ronald Reagan

Obama's Speech was not Reaganesque, it was Modern Progressivism Wrapped in Poetry

Last night the president spoke in front of a joint session of congress and, in front of the nation. Among other things Barack Obama talked about America inventing the automobile...only, we didn't invent the automobile, the Germans did. The speech was hyped as "Reaganesque" determined to paint him as a liberal version of the big Gipper the media drones were out in force last night to cover history. What? this makes it how many historic moments now? And I suppose the first time he went to the bathroom in the White House was historic, and the first time he wiped his nose in the oval office was historic; you get the picture right? I thought so troop. My problem with the speech, other than it being excessively long and drab, was that it lacked everything "REAGAN" and all things substance. Simply put the speech was an over hyped snore fest. I found myself playing a game of television channel catch up. It's where you have two of the same shows on two different channels and you switch back and forth so that whoever is on will literally finish his or her own sentence on a different channel. I know it sounds childish but I was that bored and tuned out. This was not a speech to win over the Libertarian crowd, I know because I am one. And judging by Frank Luntz's focus group analysis on Fox News well, it didn't win any of those folks over either. One guy who was unemployed said he simply doesn't believe Obama will get him a job and that expects to be unemployed for quite some time.

More important than the lack of new solutions was the barrage of old tired regressive solutions. "Using the full force of government" Yeah like we haven't heard that one before. Jimmy Carter said it hundreds of times in his speeches. What is this guy trying to pull? He's nothing new, in fact he's as old as time itself. His ideas, and his solutions to problems are older than the republic. These ideas come from European progressives and they don't work. If that were the case then why are workers rioting in France? Bobby Jindal had it dead on in his response. Though, Bobby could stand to learn the tricks of the TV trade, he looked nervous and robotic but that didn't chip away the truth of his words. He talked about the American spirit as an individual looking to his or herself for creative development and the answers, Obama proclaimed that the American people will realize their worth and then relinquish that worth to government in the name of a larger collective agenda. Again, Obama speaks in terms of a collective society; not a self reliant, individual one. In Obama's perfect Utopia there are no more individuals with the hassle of rights and the burden of personal responsibility, no, in Obama's world the government rallies us to do thy bidding.

Remember what his wife said during the campaign. She said "Barack will make you work. He will not allow you to sit on the sidelines." Well, we're seeing the coach rally his players now aren't we? I for one do not desire Barack to make me work. I'll work when and where I damn well please. But for the rest of you soft headed monkey children go ahead and follow the leader. Take in that malaise redux speech, digest the talking points, and when your rights are gone, when you're slaves to the state, and when this country is not longer recognizable then maybe you'll wake up. But by that time it would have already been too late. Words matter folks, and those words last night in that speech were prophetic. They sealed our big government, collectivist society fate.

Ah well, time to build that bomb shelter.

Charlie Crist is a Coward

Well, politically he's a big coward. The Florida governor was just on Meet the Press talking about his open embrace of the Obama administration's 789 billion dollar government expansion plan. When asked by David Gregory if he was an Obama Republican(One would guess the excitement going up the legs of Gregory and others at NBC from the fact that a Republican governor might be on board with Obama, you know, swept by his charm) Crist of course said he wasn't. He said he was a Florida Republican, whatever the hell that's suppose to mean. What really made me sick of the guy was when David Gregory asked him who the leader of the party was and wow, he said no one, President Obama is the leader because he's president. Well, there you have it folks another soft headed RINO on the rampage trying to play politics over principles and he will not go far in this party. I believe Crist sealed his fate when he openly announced that he would accept this money and went on to glorify Obama's economic plans. Crist claims that he just looking out for Floridians and yeah that's fine, we expect that. But when you follow along, without any resistance to this monster expansion of federal powers over the state and local governments, why you need to be brought out to pasture as the Great One Mark Levin often says.

Crist doesn't realize or he just doesn't care that he basically signed away the rights and power of his state to the Obama administration and the federal government. That's what this slimeulus plan does Charlie old buddy. This plan is like selling your soul to the devil himself, or at least signing a bad record deal and giving your rights to a shady and greedy record executive. But does Charlie care? No he doesn't. if he was so concerned about the people of Florida then as Governor, or CEO of the state as he put it, why not I don't know act like a Governor and pull your state out of its financial circumstances. And don't tell me "Oh, this is beyond what state and local governments can do." No it's not. If that were the case then we should abolish governorships and the office of mayor because apparently now they have no power. They no longer run their states or cities; the government does. Happy now?

95% Tax Cut? Fairness? Rescue Legislation?

How about you just leave me alone? I'm a young man, I'm currently unemployed, and I'm about to start a term in college. I don't pay taxes right now, because my job hasn't started backup yet. So why would I expect a tax cut? That would be welfare and I don't want welfare; I want to left alone. The problem I see with this so called tax plan is that President Obama is basically giving away money we can't afford to give away. 30% of the 95% of Americans don't pay taxes, none, zilch. So why are we giving them a check? By the way I fall in that 30% and I don't want their money, I mean your money if your part of the top percentile in America. The way I see it, I can make my own cash at my job, which is a pretty good one I might add. No I don't work for some investment firm, or some big business. I work construction and make 15 bucks an hour, which is 130 dollars a day, and 695 bucks a week, every week. That's pretty good for a young lad like myself, feeling my way through life as a college student who didn't vote for Obama and doesn't subscribe to the idea that I'm owed something, because truth is I'm not. And you know what? You aren't either, so wise up and don't take the money. If you do then you're feeding a monster whose hunger will never be satisfied. Thomas Jefferson knew this to be true, that's why he said what I feel is the most important and relevant idea in human history: "That government is best which governs the least, because the people can govern themselves." I don't care how uncool I may be, that quote is the only form of legislation that we need right now. So why not turn those words into law? Oh right, we did transform those words into a document, it's called the Constitution. Remember that? President Obama.

Obama and the Shift of American Power in the World

Barack Obama is different. He's change, but change with a dire price perhaps. You see President Obama's new "vision" for America in the world is a far cry from George Bush's strident war on terror and his vision to spread democracy throughout a region in the world that has historically rejected all forms of civilized society and the rule of law. And if you compare Obama to the late Ronald Reagan then you're left with a lifetime of grasping for straws; because the similarities just aren't there. Reagan, despite what you thought of the guy understood the difference between an evil entity(Soviet Union), and a noble one(United States of America) and in that struggle for peace and freedom throughout the 20th century Reagan knew that one could not remain; the Soviet Union had to go, period. It was that strident and concrete conviction that made many conservative friends of mine idolize President Reagan, and many on the left despise him even now; five years after his death.

When you look at the fast track olive branches thrown at the feet of Europe, the Middle East, and the left in America Obama has all but thrown in the towel on American leadership in the world. His idea of American leadership is America as what the Russian Prime Minister calls a "first among equals" America cannot last as a first among equal superpowers because those other superpowers would be a communist state(China) and an authoritarian state(Russia). You can't stand beside nor work with governments and leaders who deep down envy your very existence. Not that China or Russia want to obliterate the US but they would rather see America as a marginalized power forced to play on their unbalanced field. Obama is doing exactly that when he seeks these overzealous measures to "mend" broken relationships with Russia. Look, we don't need to act first when it comes to the Russians and their aggressive Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. When you invade a former soviet territory unprovoked, use energy to manipulate an entire continent, and implement anti-human rights measures upon your media and people, all the while trying to provoke a country that is ten times stronger militarily than you are by placing broken down soviet era nuclear warships in that country's backyard then no, America shouldn't be the one to make the first move toward a relationship where we are the first among equals. I say Obama should realize that a moral superior and militarily superior US is in a much better position to negotiate than an America that is going out of its way to appease, I uh er uh I mean please adversarial nations like Russia.

When the the world sees Obama trying to cut nuclear arms down from 5,000 to 1,000, giving orders to the Pentagon to seek out budget cuts by 10% in the overall defense spending, while Russia tries to resurrect what they had in their days as a communist superpower, closing Guantanamo Bay, dropping charges against one of the men behind the USS Cole bombing, all of this may seem like a great step toward change to the untrained and wide liberal eye, but to those in the world and here in America who operate on a platform of reason and realism it looks like Obama is sending the message that Jimmy Carter sent. The message is that America can no longer stand first as the last foremost defender of freedom and justice. That America as Ronald Reagan and my hero Dwight Eisenhower saw it, as my other hero George Washington saw America, as a force for good in a world filled with evil men who do not respond to flowery rhetoric or pathetic gestures of appeasement and weakness. Yes, whomever said Obama was Jimmy Carter part two, well give that person a standing ovation because Obama is Jimmy Carter in a Gary Hart Halloween costume. By the way with that tan Gary had back in the eighties it's a wonder he wasn't mistaken as the first black presidential candidate with a serious shot at the White House. "Follow me" he used to say. Well twenty some odd years later the country decided to follow the first prize winner of a Gary Hart lookalike contest.

This time instead of finding a docked boat and Donna Rice we're going to follow Obama and find terrorists living in our communities because the "He who walks behind the rows" declared that America all of the sudden provides due process and constitutional rights to non-citizen terrorists. What an oxymoron from the mouth of a plain old liberal moron. Yes I said it, I can't give naive governance a chance because I'm smart enough to know that it will fail us all in the end. If someone from this so called "cabinet of powerhouses and superstars" doesn't stand up and be Ronald Reagan to Obama's Jimmy Carter then America will shrink not only in Gross Domestic Product but also military might and deterrent influence in the world. It's no coincidence that the Iranian leadership is openly mocking Obama's call for direct talks as a sign of America's declining ability to project firm principles when it came to our enemies. I suspect the Russians are saying the same when they hear Obama trying to "extend a hand" to shake a fist that will remain clinched for a long while.
